Cartoonists Respond to Somalia Massacre as the World Fails to #StandWithSomalia

Leaders like Donald Trump, Narendra Modi remained silent as around 300 people were killed in the massive bombing in Mogadishu.

A truck bomb ripped through Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu causing huge casualties as rescuers struggled to cope with the increasing number of dead and injured. The bomb was packed with with several hundred kilograms of military-grade and homemade explosives, one of the most lethal terrorist acts anywhere in the world for many years.

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmaajo on Sunday declared three days of national mourning following the attack.

"We will observe three days of mourning for innocent victims, flags will be flown at half-mast. Time to unite and pray together. Terror won't win," Mohamed said in a statement posted on the presidency's official Twitter account.

The ‘barbaric’ attack but failed to create a collective outrage across the world, with many international leaders preferring to remain silent.

Meanwhile cartoonist across the world expressed their solidarity with Somalia and victims of the bombing.
