Children Detained in Kashmir, Family Suffers

NewsClick team visited Budgam to meet the families and parents whose children have been picked up after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5.

Several Kashmiris have been reportedly detained by the armed forces from the Kashmir Valley, including politicians from the National Conference and the J&K People’s Democratic Party, students, PhD aspirants, teachers and businessmen. The detainees have been sent to the local police stations, while over 300 Kashmiris have been sent to a number of jails across Uttar Pradesh.
