Chit Fund Scam: Will SEBI Return Money to Investors?

All India Investors’ Organisation says that SEBI does not intend to pay the money back to the investors, who were looted in the PACL scam.

On February 2, thousands of people from across the country – who have been duped by Pearl Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) – had gathered at the Sansad Marg. This is the biggest chit fund scam in the country, amounting to about Rs 50000 crores. The February 8 notification by SEBI says that the investors can file a claim online in order to get their money back. However, All India Investors’ Organisation (AIIO) says that SEBI does not intend to pay this money back. Regarding this issue, we talked to the members of AIIO. Take a look.
