The Kanchipuram town of Tamil Nadu witnessed a massive gathering on September 23 for the 14th state conference of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU). The four-day conference had a participation of more than 700 delegates from across the state. They represent around 36 affiliated sectors and many more non-affiliated sectors. The attendees at the conference resolved to intensify the fight against the anti-labour policies of the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre.
