A group of musicians based in Kolkata have composed an original song portraying the dangers of communalism as a vicious crocodile.
A group of  musicians based in Kolkata have composed an original song portraying the dangers of communalism as a vicious crocodile. The group named Fiddler's Green that has, in the past, recorded revolutionary songs such as "Bella Ciao," comprises (among others) Samantak Sinha as the lead vocalist who has also composed the tune and played acoustic guitar on the track; Diptanshu Roy on the mandolin; Shamik Chatterjee on the bass guitar, and; Ritoban Das on the drums. The lyrics in Bengali have been written by Swadesh Misra.

The music video of the song, that begins with the warning: "Watch out! Beware! Stay alert, if you want to hold your head up high. The crocodile has crept into your home, he’s caught you in his eye," was shot in Kolkata over two days and produced in less than a week in March-April 2021. It has been co-produced and co-directed by Paranjoy Guha Thakurta and Mithun Pramanik.
