Tamil Nadu has witnessed a spike in COVID-19 cases, making it the state with the second highest cases in the country. NewsClick interviewed Dr. T Sundararaman, Global Coordinator of the People's Health Movement (PHM), about the rising cases. He says, "The lack of people's engagement with unplanned lockdown and shortcomings in the surveillance programs has worsened the situation in the state. The Kerala model is commendable but Tamil Nadu is engaging in a blame game, even though it has a good healthcare system."
