Crops Rotting in Rainwater, Kanyakumari Farmers Helpless

Small-scale banana and coconut farmers in Kanyakumari suffer from poor irrigation facilities. This region receives heavy rainfall during the monsoons, and with the lack of proper canals, the cumulative effects are detrimental to agriculture. Rainwater entered hundreds of acres of fields last November and farmers helplessly watched their crops rot while local bodies remained indifferent.
