The Dangers of the Current Medical Admission Process
The DMK government had constituted a committee in June to study the impact of NEET on admissions to medical courses in Tamil Nadu. The findings of the committee, headed by Justice (retired) AK Rajan, have been made public. The 165-page report mentions that the medical examination is stacked against the socially and economically backward sections. Students from rural areas and poor economic background and those educated in government Tamil-medium schools have been the worst affected after the introduction of NEET.
