Democrats Don’t Understand Changing Economic Realities in the US: Michael Levien

All is not well economically in much of the US right now.
Interview with Michael Levien
23 Jul 2017
Interviewed by Subin Dennis

Decades of neoliberal policies have led to job losses and de-industrialisation. The global financial crisis led to the evisceration of huge amounts of wealth, and we are seeing levels of inequality that we haven’t seen since the 1920s.

All is not well economically in much of the US right now, and much of the Democratic Party does not understand that.

In this interview, Levien speaks about the threats posed by the Trump administration’s policies, the growing resistance movements against those policies, and the challenges before the Left in the United States.
