When we go to watch a Ram Leela performance, it’s like attending a fair with people sitting on the ground, selling things. This is how nautanki was also performed. No divide can exist in the popular performance traditions of our country because everyone contributes in creating these forms of art together. What caste a performer belongs to should make no difference to the art. The art matters. What religion a performer follows doesn't matter when he is performing.
We have become so separated from each other that the community spirit of celebrating festivals like Holi, Eid etc. together is gone. When we celebrate art together as a community, we learn that the other person is not an alien. They are just like us.
