In today's world of politics, Babur and Aurangzeb are targets of abuse and vilification. In contrast, Akbar has been given the epithet of 'Great' and his memory enjoys considerable public goodwill. However, even this goodwill faces a threat. In 2015, then Home Minister Rajnath Singh had provocatively asked why Akbar was great and not Rana Pratap?
