Farmers' Protests: After Trolley Times, Welcome Trolley Talkies

If you have missed out on reading Trolley Times you can now watch Trolley Talkies.

If you have missed out on reading Trolley Times you can now watch Trolley Talkies. The struggle of the farmers and their movement is now being shown on film after being presented in a newspaper. It has two objectives: the first is that cinema is a powerful medium which enables a greater reach; secondly, people who cannot read newspapers can understand what the movement is through cinema; why it exists, what are the issues, what is its inspiration? The use of the word 'trolley' in its name is because the tractor-trolley is the identity of the farmer. The entire movement persists due to the trolley. A broadcast on the Trolley Talkies coincides with the end of the day i.e. when the gathering and other programmes on the main stage are over; it then begins at about 6:30 pm. NewsClick spoke to the team behind Trolley Talkies on New Year's Day at the Tikri Border in Delhi.
