Flood in North Chennai Leave Many Trapped

Cyclone Nivar, which hit the shore of Tamil Nadu in the early hours of November 26, passed without affecting the larger population in the state. However, the heavy rainfalls that followed in the wake of the cyclone have severely affected the lives of many in North Chennai. Hundreds of people have been trapped in their huts, and have no other option than waiting for the water to recede. But this is not the first time, they have to face this situation every time there is heavy rainfall in the area.
