Interview With Filmmaker Ashvin Kumar: Fighting the Injustice of CBFC

Ashvin Kumar, director of the Oscar-nominated film 'Little Terrorist', and winner of two national awards, has again found himself in controversy for his upcoming film ‘No Fathers in Kashmir’. His new film, which is set against the backdrop of the conflict in Kashmir, has been awarded an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and several cuts have been asked to be made in his feature film. In conversation with Newsclick, the director speaks about his struggle with the CBFC, his new film, and what motivates him to make films about a place like Kashmir.
