Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has been witnessing students’ protests for past one week against the hostel fee hike and the regressive draft hostel manual. On Monday, after gathering at the JNU admin block, thousands of students marched to Vasant Kunj police station demanding that a ‘missing’ FIR be filed against the vice chancellor of JNU. They said VC and the dean of students’ whereabouts are not known, as they are hiding and don’t want to talk to the students. The police attempted to stop the students at the university’s West gate, but had to let them pass, as students had gathered in large numbers.
