Masrat Zahra, Gowhar Geelani on Stringent Charges Slapped on Journalists in Kashmir

Kashmiri journalists Masrat Zahra and Gowhar Geelani have been charged under the draconian law, Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, (UAPA), 1967, for alleged "anti-national" social media posts by the Cyber Police Station in Kashmir.

In a Statement released by the Cyber Police, Kashmir Zone, they alleged that the social media posts 'glorified terrorism' in the Valley.
