With this move, the right-wing governments in the Centre and the State have doubled down on their bid to target those who work in the areas of human rights and civil liberties. However, the witch hunt backfired as Indians were not prepared to buy the establishment's branding of the activists as urban Naxals - a term popularized by a media channel.
