'Modi Govt Using Unethical Ways to Prevent Defence Factory Employees' Strike'
The Narendra Modi-led BJP government has decided to corporatise the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), an umbrella body that oversees the 41 ordnance factories across the country. When the employees rejected the move and announced an indefinite strike as their last resort, the government promulgated an ordinance (EDSO 2021) preventing the workers from engaging in strikes. C. Srikumar, the general secretary of the All India Defence Employees' Federation (AIDEF) said that the employees will go to any length to save "national assets from privatisation".
