Paigham-e-Azadi | Lecture on Jawaharlal Nehru by Aditya Mukherjee | School for Democracy
Paigham-e-Azadi series is a joint initiative by the School for Democracy and NewsClick, focusing on the contribution of our freedom fighters. This lecture from the series will focus on Jawaharlal Nehru and is being delivered by Aditya Mukherjee. Mukherjee is Professor of Contemporary Indian History, Centre for Historical Studies and Dean, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He is the Editor of the ‘Sage Series in Modern Indian History’ published by SAGE publications and was editor of the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru (2009-11). He has been a Member of The Indian Council for Historical Research (ICHR) since 2009 and specialises in Economic History, particularly business history and the political economy of post-colonial development. He was President of the Indian History Congress for Modern India, 2007-08. He has been Visiting Professor at several universities in India and abroad.
