Over 5,000 students participated in a rally in Chennai called by the United Students of India, a collective of student organisations, on February 1. Flagged off by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Tamil Nadu, the rally raised the slogan ‘Reject NEP, Save Education, Reject BJP and Save India’. It ended with 16 student organisations calling upon the student community to reject BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
