The farmers' agitation has also weakened the ruling party in the state, which would make it difficult for the BJP to retain power in UP. Nevertheless, if it wins the ongoing assembly elections in UP, the future of democracy in India would be in grave danger, says senior political analyst Abhay Kumar Dubey, professor at Ambedkar University, in an exclusive interview with NewsClick.
