Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games was postponed to 2021 by the International Olympic Committee on March 24.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, originally scheduled for July 22 to August 9 of this year, is postponed to 2021 due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. The repecussions of the postponement are manifold -- from the direct impact to the Japanese economy, to indirect implications on global sport, as well as the toll it would take on athletes.
