UNIVERSITY UNDER ATTACK: The Fall Of GSCASH And the Dangers Of ICC
The Gender Sensitization Committee Against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH) at the Jawaharlal Nehru University was replaced by the Internal Complaints Committee( ICC) in September 2017. Since then the JNU Community has been fighting against the ICC and it's regressive ideas of gender. The ICC, which is a nominated body unlike the elected GSCASH, has consistently shielded the accused and pressurised and threatened the complainants. The continuance of the ICC at JNU directly impacts the freedom and dignity of the women in the campus.
