The press owners, publishers and workers in these presses have been deeply affected by the extended lockdown due to COVID-19. Even though relaxations have been announced by both the central and state government, the sector is not witnessing any sign of recovery since the educational institutions are not yet open and there are no functions happening as before, which formed the major chunk of their demands.
