Love Jihad, or the islamophobic idea that Muslim men marry Hindu women in order to convert them Islam, is a term that has been conveniently thrown around by the Bharatiya Janata Party time and again. Recently, in the much talked about murder of Shraddha Walker and the suicide of actress Tunisha Sharma, the media as well as government once again brought in the angle of Love Jihad without any concrete basis to their claims.
