Women Have to Keep Fighting through Dark Times

In this interview on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021, well-known advocate Kirti Singh says that these are dark times for women in India. She says they are being repressed at multiple levels: by the family, the justice system, even in courts and in the political and executive domains. Yet, there is a silver lining. The Priya Ramani judgement by a Delhi court has struck a blow against patriarchal norms. More and more women are coming out to protest against all forms of repression. Times are indeed hard, but women will struggle on.
