Continuing the focus of the Tablighi Jamaat coronavirus hotspot, the Centre asked all states and Union territories to launch a contact tracing exercise on a "war footing" of all participants of the congregation in Delhi's Nizamuddin.
According to the National Commission for Minorities, the Tablighi Jamaat congregation caused a "big damage" to the government's efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Bihar, an official claimed that four policemen were injured when a group of people belonging to the Tablighi Jamaat attacked them when the cops admonished them for defying lockdown.

In a major relief to students, the Human Resources Development Ministry has asked the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) to promote all students of classes 1 to 8 to the next class in view of Coronavirus situation.

Gujarat confirmed cases
