Bharat Prajapati, a 48-year-old potter from Bhopal, took a loan of Rs 4 lakh after mortgaging his home and his wife’s jewellery ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. But the last minute order from the administration restricting gathering during the festival has led to a significant loss to the potters. Prajapati's family has been left devastated and money lenders are hounding them to repay their debt. The artisan's wife has attempted suicide twice over the span of the last five days.
